ICAF Atlanta is a very diverse group; we come from many different ethnic, religious and national backgrounds. We are brought together by our common interest and passion for Capoeira Angola. The group, led by Joseph Watkins, has been training in Atlanta, GA, since 1999. In 2003, we were proud be accepted as part of the International Capoeira Angola Foundation, an international non-profit organization which is dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of Capoeira Angola.

ICAF-ATL is available to give demonstrations of this Afro-Brazilian art form at school functions and artistic or cultural events. We will talk about the history of capoeira, including its African origins, play music, and demonstrate the movements of this ritual game.
